Man Killed in NJ Car Crash When His Car Was Crushed Between Two Trucks

A fatal New Jersey car crash claimed the life of a Marlton man when his vehicle was crushed between two trucks.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on the morning of April 18, 2011, 55-year-old Craig Powers was driving his Buick LaSabre on Route 73 at Remington Avenue in Pennsauken. As he was stopped at a light, his vehicle was rear-ended by a box truck and forced partially under the dump truck in front of him.

The collision, which occurred at a high rate of speed, forced the dump truck into two other vehicles.

Neither the truck drivers nor the occupants of the two other vehicles were injured; however, Powers sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

Route 73 was closed for several hours following the accident.

It is not yet known why the driver of the box truck did not stop, as this accident is still under investigation by the Pennsauken Police Department.

The Bucks County injury lawyers at Cordisco & Saile would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Craig Powers and wish them strength throughout this difficult time.
