3M Military Earplugs Lawsuit

Cordisco & Saile Handles 3M Earplug Cases

We at Cordisco & Saile always stand by our military and those who serve our communities. Now, more than ever, we are here to support you in these uncertain times. Were you in the military between 2003 and 2016? Did you wear military issued dual-ended earplugs at all during this time and now suffer from hearing loss or tinnitus? If you did, you trusted that the earplugs you were given would protect your hearing, but you had no idea that they were actually defective. It has been discovered that the 3M dual-ended earplugs were too short to form an effective seal and did not work properly. This defect caused them to come loose putting your ear and hearing at risk. If you or a loved one has suffered hearing loss or constant ringing after using this military issued, dual-ended earplugs from 3M, you may be entitled to compensation. We appreciate your service and sacrifice. Call Cordisco & Saile today for a free consultation.

What We Know

Our armed forces put their lives on the line to protect their nation and their loved ones. That type of sacrifice deserves the utmost in physical protection. Earplugs are used by the military to absorb some of the noise and protect the ears of our soldiers during combat and live drills. In combat, there are the sounds of machinery, explosions, gunfire and more. All of these things can be damaging to hearing and that is why the use of an effective earplug is vital. The government contracted with the well-known manufacturer, 3M, for the state of the art earplugs to protect our soldiers’ ears but 3M did not deliver the product they promised and added to the harm that our brave soldiers were already faced with on a daily basis by making them think they had ear protection they did not have. These defective earplugs were issued to and used by our military between 2003 and 2016.

The double-ended earplugs made by 3M were supposed to create a strong seal in the opening to the ear to shield the wearer from loud noise. Unfortunately, these earplugs were too short and did not work as promised to protect ears from loud gunshots, large artillery rounds, explosions and more.

What You Should know

The U.S. Government filed a lawsuit against the company. Payments were made by 3M as a result of that lawsuit. However, it did not address compensation for the soldiers that used these earplugs by no fault of their own thinking that they would help them. The aim of the current litigation is to get compensation for our military men and women for the injuries they sustained. Many of our heroes who thought their hearing was safe, now suffer from hearing loss and tinnitus resulting due to using these earplugs in combat.
