Bucks County I-95 Traffic Accidents

The section of Interstate-95 that crosses through Bucks County, PA is notoriously congested and is the scene of numerous accidents. The unfortunate outcome, says Bucks County personal injury lawyer Michael L. Saile, Jr., is that many victims of these PA auto accidents suffer serious accident injuries.  But what can be done to decrease the number of Bucks County accidents and injuries on I-95?

Proposed Traffic and Accident Reduction Solution

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has considered the construction of an interchange between I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike which would be constructed in the Hulmeville area of Bucks County. The proposed plan would take place in three different stages, with the first stage slated for construction through 2017.  The interchange is meant to reduce congestion on local roads which are currently being used to travel between the two major highways. This is good news because often times the aggitated drivers coming off of the heavily trafficed local roads enter the highway and drive aggressively, which adds to the cause of so many Philadelphia area car accidents.

Along with the planned interchange in Hulmeville, PA, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission plans to enlarge and repair those areas of I-95 and the PA Turnpike which would become even more heavily used with the proposed plan. This part of the plan would be helpful in dealing with the increased volume, as all of the drivers who previously used the local Bucks County routes would then begin using the interchange.

We will just have to wait and see if the traffic situation and incidents of Bucks County car accident injuries degrades or improves with the proposed plans. Keep alert for construction areas and new traffic patterns on the Lower Bucks County portions of the PA Turnpike and I-95.
