Man Arrested on Homicide Charge Following Bensalem Truck Accident

A Bensalem truck accident involving two vehicles claims the life of a woman and leaves a trucker facing homicide charges. The incident took place at the intersection of Street Road and Old Lincoln Highway in the Trevose neighborhood.

According to reports, a tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound along Street Road when the driver ran a red light and slammed into another vehicle making a left turn onto westbound Street Road from Old Lincoln Highway. The driver of the truck has been identified as 32-year-old Andrew Ziemba. It was unclear if he was injured.

Two women were in the second vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver, Danielle Felkner, was transported to Aria Health Torresdale Campus. Tragically, she lost her life a short time later. Her passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Mr. Ziemba was arrested by Bensalem police. He has been charged with homicide by vehicle and other related offenses.

The two-vehicle Bensalem truck accident remains under investigation by local authorities. There was not yet any indication as to why Mr. Ziemba failed to stop at the red light.
