Man Loses Life in Bethlehem Motorcycle Accident Following Near-3-Month Coma

A local man lost his life in a Bethlehem motorcycle accident following a near-three-month coma. The incident took place on Friday evening, April 20, 2012, in Bucks County.

According to reports, Brian Piscitelli, 23, of Warminster, was traveling on his Harley-Davidson to meet his fiancée when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Mr. Piscitelli and his fiancée, Karen Emmons, were to meet to pick floral arrangements for the November wedding when he crashed.

Rescue crews transported Mr. Piscitelli to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the accident. He passed away last week at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown after spending 11 weeks in a coma. He reportedly went into cardiac arrest before finally succumbing to his injuries.

Mr. Piscitelli was born in Langhorne before finally settling down in the northern Bucks County area. He was a graduate of Quakertown High School.

It was unclear if anyone else was involved or injured in the Bethlehem motorcycle accident. Mr. Piscitelli is survived by his 11-month-old son, Connor.

This is a tragic incident, and we express our deepest thoughts and condolences to Mr. Piscitelli’s family and friends during this difficult time.
