Man Loses Life in Falls Township Pedestrian Accident

Falls Township pedestrian accident claimed the life of a man after a vehicle struck him in Bucks County. The incident took place at approximately 7:30 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2012, on Penn Valley Road.

According to Falls police, a Toyota Corolla struck a man on Penn Valley Road near New Fall Road on Sunday evening. Police arrived on the scene within two minutes of receiving the call to find an unconscious man on the road. Rescue crews transported the victim to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Middletown where he was treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

The victim has been identified as a male in his 70s. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead that same evening. His name was not immediately made known. The Bucks County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Reports indicate that the driver was the one who called in the accident and remained at the scene. His identity has not been made available. No other injuries were reported.
