One Dead in Whitpain, Pennsylvania Motorcycle Accident

On October 21, 2010, a motorcyclist was fatally injured in a Whitpain, Pennsylvania auto accident.

On Thursday evening, Edward Stimmler Jr., 37, was driving his BMW motorcycle southbound on Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike near Hoover Road.

A Ford Fusion, driven by Dolores Howlett, 35, exited a driveway to turn south onto Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike. The motorcycle side-swiped the Ford and lost control, careening into a split rail fence.

Stimmler, who was wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene by Second Alarmers ambulance before being flown to Abington Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Howlett was not injured in the accident.

The cause of the Pennsylvania motorcycle accident is still under investigation.

Our sincere condolences are with the friends and family of Edward Stimmler Jr. We wish them the strength they need to make it through this difficult time.
