Philadelphia Car Accident Ends with Woman Losing Arm

A Philadelphia car accident involving three vehicles leaves three people injured, with one woman losing her arm in the crash. The incident took place at approximately 5:45 on Monday evening, January 2, 2012, at the Passyunk Bridge on 3000 Passyunk Avenue.

According to reports, three vehicles collided at the Passyunk Bridge. Rescue crews transported three victims to local hospitals where they were treated for injuries in the early-evening crash.

One of the victims, a 28-year-old female, was taken to the Hospital at Penn where she lost her left arm. She was reported as being in stable condition.

A second victim, a 53-year-old woman, was also taken to the Hospital at Penn in stable condition. She was treated for head, back, and neck pain.

The third victim, a 9-year-old boy, was transported to the Children’s Hospital where he was treated for a hand injury, cuts, and abrasions. Fortunately, he was also listed in stable condition.

Authorities are still investigating the three-vehicle Philadelphia car accident. The exact cause of the crash was not made clear. The identities of those involved in the collision were not immediately made available.
