A Langhorne car accident involving a tractor-trailer truck leaves two injured and sets off a chain of accidents. The incident began on Monday morning, June 11, 2012, along U.S. Route 1 in Bucks County.
According to reports, a silver Chrysler was seen weaving in and out of traffic along Route 1 when the car clipped the back of a tractor-trailer. The collision caused the driver of the truck, Bear Shelby, to lose control of his vehicle and cross the median into the northbound lanes and into a home.
The Chrysler continued an additional 200 yards where it slammed into another truck. The car became lodged underneath the big-rig.
When Shelby’s truck crossed and entered the northbound lanes, his truck hit a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep hit a guardrail and flipped several times.
Two injuries were reported as a result of the series of accidents. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Officials did not immediately release the identities of those involved in the incident.
The Langhorne car accident remains under investigation by local authorities as they determine how the accident occurred.
This is an unfortunate incident, and we wish everyone who was involved in the accident a quick and full recovery.
