Two people were injured in an Upper Southampton truck accident after a tractor-trailer and car collided on the PA Turnpike. The incident took place at approximately 4:30 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in Bucks County.
According to reports, a large truck and car collided on the PA Turnpike near Gravel Road early Tuesday morning. Two people were injured as a result of the crash. Officials did not immediately release their identities.
One of the victims was said to have been pinned in the car. Rescue crews transported both victims to Abington Hospital where they were treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Their conditions were not immediately made known. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.
There was no early indication as to how the accident occurred or who may have been at fault. Emergency crews reopened all turnpike lanes by 8:00 AM the same morning.
