Philly Man Loses His Life in Bristol Township Pedestrian Accident

A Philly man has lost his life in a Bristol Township pedestrian accident after he was struck by a car, whose driver fled the accident scene. The incident took place on Sunday morning, February 19, 2012, in Bucks County.

According to reports, the man was walking to a nearby store along New Falls Road in Bristol Township when the incident occurred. He was to meet his mother for a ride home when he was struck by a car traveling in the same direction. The Philadelphia man, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle who struck the man fled the accident scene and has yet to be located. The vehicle has been identified as a dark-colored car. Authorities indicate that the vehicle may have sustained damage to the driver’s side and may be missing the side mirror.

The fatal Bristol Township pedestrian accident is still under investigation by local authorities as they attempt to determine why the man was hit. Anyone with information concerning the accident has been asked to contact local police.
