Caterina G. Saile

Caterina Gatto Saile, Esq. is a seasoned trial attorney with more than two decades of high-level courtroom experience handling complex litigation. As a former prosecutor and accomplished trial advocate, she brings a strategic edge to representing injured clients against insurance companies and corporate defendants.

Caterina earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Delaware, where she interned with the Delaware Department of Justice, served as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, where she was selected for the prestigious Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society mock trial team and served on the Widener Law Review.

After being admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Caterina began her legal career at the Lyons Law Firm in Wilmington, Delaware, handling both personal injury and criminal matters. She later joined the Delaware Department of Justice, where her prosecutorial career was marked by extensive trial experience and leadership roles. Caterina prosecuted a broad range of criminal cases and, in 2013, was appointed to a management position supervising attorneys and legal staff while continuing to handle complex matters.

In 2016, Caterina was named Unit Head of the Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit, where she oversaw sophisticated wiretap and gang investigations and worked closely with federal agencies, including the DEA and FBI. Her prosecutorial career includes countless jury trials, homicide trials, and leadership in major investigations—most notably serving as lead prosecutor in “Operation Son Sun,” one of Delaware’s largest heroin trafficking prosecutions, which resulted in a successful RICO conviction following a complex jury trial.

In 2017, Caterina became Managing Partner at Saile & Saile LLP, applying her extensive litigation, negotiation, and trial experience to the firm’s criminal defense practice. There, she led cases with both determination and compassion, consistently pursuing the best possible outcomes for her clients.

Outside the courtroom, Caterina is married to Cordisco & Saile founder Michael Saile, and together they have three teenage sons. She spends much of her free time supporting her boys on the wrestling mat and at their other sporting events. She also enjoys world travel, time at the beach, and gatherings with her large Italian family.
