A Bucks County car accident involving two vehicles leaves five people trapped and sends one to a local hospital. The incident took place at approximately 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2012, along Route 13 in Bristol Township.
According to reports, two vehicles collided along Route 13 near Haines Road. The force of the impact sent one of the cars, a black Chevrolet, into the southbound lanes where it came to rest on its side. All five occupants were trapped inside the vehicle.
Rescue crews had to cut out the car’s windshield to free the passengers. At least one of the victims was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital where they were treated for injuries sustained in the afternoon crash. The victim’s condition was not immediately made known.
The driver of the second vehicle, a Hyundai, was not injured in the crash. The identities of those involved in the crash were not made available.
The two-vehicle Bucks County car accident is still under investigation by local authorities. It is unclear as to who was at fault and why the two vehicles collided.
